Accountant Position

Responsibilities include:

The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Primary responsibilities include reconciling practice management accounts within the Sage 50 accounting system, preparing monthly financial reports, preparing payroll, transmitting 403B retirement deposits, tracking employee benefits, monitoring billing accounts receivable, monitoring health center accounts payable, tracking expenditures under grants management to ensure proper drawdowns from grantors.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting, business management or organizational leadership is required. Strong budgeting, financial management skills are desired. Two or more years’ experience is required, preferably in a medical office or nonprofit environment.

  • Morgan County Medical Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center, located in Wartburg, TN has an opening for a full-time (possibly part-time) accountant/bookkeeper. This position reports directly to the Chief Finance Officer to manage the day to day financial and human resource operations of the health center. The successful candidate must work onsite in Wartburg. Remote work is not currently possible.
