Dentist Position Available

• Flexible schedule around Dentist preference is available including both Full or Part Time options.

• Diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums, and related oral structures by utilizing a team-based model and performing the following duties.

Responsibilities include:

The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Examines patient to determine appropriate treatment.
• Crowns teeth and fills cavities.
• Administers local anesthetic, administers nitrous.
• Delivers and adjust dentures.
• Educates patient in oral and dental hygiene.
• Develop and maintain appropriate dental records system.
• Develop and implement a consultation and referral system which assures adequate continuity of care to dental patients.
• Promote a team concept of healthcare delivery.
• Provide a variety of professional dental services to the community and clinic patients; administer examinations, diagnose dental problems, prescribe treatment and follow-up.
• Dental extractions, root canals, impressions and x-rays.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience: Must have obtained either DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• Communication Skills:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally to clients, coworkers, and members of management.
• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following types of software:  Word processing, Spreadsheet, and Database software. Must be able to utilize EMR systems.
• Certificates and Licenses:  Must be licensed as a Dentist in the state of Tennessee.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Will provide clinical direction to Hygienist and Dental Assistant.
